Season #11 begins soon at Lucky Penny!

Producing professional quality theatre with the best available talent is an expensive proposition. Other than overhead costs (rent, insurance, utilities) most of our money goes toward finding the area's best actors, singers, musicians, dancers, directors, choreographers, and designers.

But there's one large cost that we can't reduce - the cost of performance rights and royalties. These fees go to the authors, composers and lyricists whose plays and musicals we produce.

Season #11 begins in September with eight fully staged plays and musicals on the agenda. The cost of the performance rights and royalties for the season is $24,490.60 - about 12% of our annual budget.

Starting today we are kicking off a campaign to RAISE THE (Performance) RIGHTS and we ask you to contribute what you can now to help us start the new season on a solid financial footing.

There are several ways you can help.
1. Donate securely online by following the DONATE NOW link.
2. Send a check to Lucky Penny Productions, 1357 Foster Road Napa CA 94558
3. Donate stock. We maintain an account to receive stock donations and convert them to cash. Email us for details at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
4. Tell a friend! Post on social media!

As a 501c3 non-profit organization, your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
We like to "sing for our supper" and earn most of what it takes to run our company, and we work hard to keep our costs down. We use a lot of donated equipment and materials - friends of Lucky Penny create and donate raffle packages - and because most of our offstage work is done by volunteers, our administrative costs are less than 1% of our annual budget. But ticket sales in our small theatre can't cover all our expenses. That's why we reach out to you for support to maintain our high standards and keep getting better with each show.

If you believe it's important to have professional quality theatre in this community, please help. Your donation makes a difference and keeps us moving forward. We look to you to pitch in some pennies, and then we will pinch them!

We sincerely hope you will make a donation today. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by calling 707-266-6305.

As we look ahead to our Season #11 we thank you for helping us RAISE THE RIGHTS!
