Lucky Penny Productions' Associate Artist initiative is designed to expand and deepen the creative environment of the company. Associate Artists engage in all aspects of the creative process, including script selection, education projects, mentoring, and much more, and serve as advocates and ambassadors for Lucky Penny across the Bay Area. The Associate Artists selected for the 2018-19 professional season are: 
Staci Arriaga, Daniela Innocenti Beem, Jeff Bristow, Heather Buck, Craig Burdette, Danielle DeBow, April George, Dyan McBride*, Tim Setzer, and Michael Scott Wells 

staci arriaga Staci Arriaga works as a choreographer for numerous companies all over the Bay Area. Besides her work at Lucky Penny as the Resident Choreographer for the 2016-2017 Season, she has also worked with Center Rep, Berkeley Playhouse, Woodland Opera House, Solano College Theatre, 42nd Street Moon, 6th Street Playhouse, OMG Productions, and two summers with The Ash Lawn Opera House in Virginia. Her work can once again be seen throughout the season as the Resident Choreographer for Lucky Penny Productions 2017-2018 Season. She was last seen as a performer at Lucky Penny in The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical (Lin) and Cowgirls (Mo). She has enjoyed performing in various other productions around the Bay and in dance ensembles over the years. She has also spent over 25 years teaching tap and jazz and 20 years working as a choreographer in musical theatre. Staci is thrilled to be an Associate Artist for Lucky Penny Productions as she continues choreographing and performing throughout the Bay Area.

dani beem3Daniela Innocenti Beem is a multiple award-winning Bay Area singer/actress with over 100 productions under her belt. She made her debut at age 10 in The Miracle Worker and never looked back. She studied opera for many years before concentrating solely on musical theater and more contemporary styles of music. She was seen last season as Mrs. Peacock in CLUE, the Musical and Flamin’ Mamie in the hit original musical I Wanna Be Bad. Before that, you may have seen her at Lucky Penny in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Woman) and Cowgirls (Jo) as well as in numerous Cabaret Shows, many of which she has produced. She is the co-creator and half of The Dynamic Duet with Julie Johnson Ekoue-Totou, playing to sold out houses all over the Bay Area for the last 7 years. She has lent her voice to several fundraisers, workshops and new works, and recorded her own CD titled, The Dynamic Duet: Back to Before. She is thrilled that she was asked to be an Associate Artist for Lucky Penny for a second year in a row, and cannot wait to bring more creative and fun shows to the Community Arts Center. Jeff 3

Jeff Bristow is honored to once again be the Resident Stage Manager and one of the Associate Artists at Lucky Penny Productions for the 2017-2018 Season. He started working in theater much later in life than most, but has enjoyed every minute since. In 2008, he started working with the Solano Youth Theater as their Site Manager for Guys and Dolls and hasn’t stopped. He recently served as the Stage Manager for three productions at Berkeley Playhouse, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid and The Addams Family, and worked at Lucky Penny last season as the Resident Stage Manager on their productions of Big River, The Miracle Worker, The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, A Little Night Music, Maple and Vine, CLUE, the Musical, as well as Cowgirls and Christmas Trailer Park in the 2015-2016 Season. Retired from the Active Duty in 2008, he currently works as a civilian for the 21st Airlift Squadron as their Resource Advisor.

heather buckHeather Buck is a Santa Rosa native come home by way of Ashland, Oregon and London, England. She has been familiar face in Sonoma County, Marin, the Bay Area and Napa for several years now, and is beyond honored and unbelievably excited to have been asked to be involved in Lucky Penny’s Associate Artist program for the second year in a row! She was seen last season at Lucky Penny as Kate Keller in The Miracle Worker, Amos Mouse in 'Twas The Night Before Christmas, Ellen in Maple and Vine and as the fast talking detective in CLUE, the Musical. She also acts as the Assistant Casting Director for Lucky Penny as well as using her talents to assist in event planning and fundraising for the company. Connecting with and becoming increasingly more involved with Lucky Penny has been a highlight of the past several seasons for Heather, and she cannot wait to see what the future holds for the Community Arts Center and the coming seasons. Craig Burdette was born in Atlanta and began musical studies at age 7 with piano lessons. While a music composition/piano major at Boston University, Craig became a conducting student of Eiji Oue. He subsequently conducted orchestra performances in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Greifswald (Germany) and Sofia (Bulgaria). Since his time in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has released a recording of his own original piano solos, and involved himself with our local musical theater scene. He began working with Lucky Penny Productions two years ago stepping into the role of Resident Music Director, and has since music directed The Secret Garden, The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical, The Andrews Brothers, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Big River, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, A Little Night Music, CLUE, The Musical and various Cabaret Shows. Craig is thrilled to return as the Resident Music Director for the 2017-2018 Season and currently lives and teaches in Vallejo. danielle debow

Danielle DeBow is thrilled and honored to be among Lucky Penny’s Associate Artists. Danielle grew up on the stage and studied Theatre and Dance at UC Davis. She is a dancer turned film actress, turned musical theatre enthusiast, who fell in love with the immediacy and fellowship of the theatre. She was most recently seen at Lucky Penny Productions as Miss Scarlet in Clue: The Musical, Mary Jane in Big River, as Woman #2 in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and as Lee in Cowgirls. Danielle and fellow Associate Artist (and beau) Michael Scott Wells also brought their Cabaret, Fly Me to the Moon to Lucky Penny. Danielle considers Lucky Penny home and greatly looks forward to another amazing season. april george

April George is very proud to be working with Lucky Penny as their resident Lighting Designer. Some of her favorite shows at Lucky Penny have been CLUE, The Musical, Big River, The Secret Garden, Bonnie and Clyde, Trailer Park Musical, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, and Funny Girl. April received a BFA in Motion Picture/Television Production from The Academy of Art University San Francisco with an emphasis in Directing. She has produced several independent films and worked on many feature films here in the Bay Area. April holds a degree in Theatre Arts Management and has worked in theatres all across the nation. Her credits include Associate Producer, Equity Stage Management, Lighting Designer, Script Supervisor, Prop Master and Production Management. April worked as Francis Ford Coppola’s Stage Manager for his One Man Road Show Wine Daydreams and Memories which toured the United States. She also toured across the country with the Reduced Shakespeare Company. Two years ago she joined the Stagehands Local 16 Union.

dyan mcbrideDyan McBride is thrilled to be an Associate Artist with Lucky Penny, and is grateful to be surrounded by inspiring artists, supportive audiences and to work in the gorgeous Napa Valley. Prior to this season, Dyan was featured in A Little Night Music (Desiree), Cowgirls (Mary Lou) and the two-hander, Gidion’s Knot (Heather). She looks forward to her directing debut at Lucky Penny this season. Dyan has worked as an actor or director with notable companies such as 42nd St. Moon (23 seasons), Woodminster, Center Repertory Theatre, Diablo Theatre Company, Sacramento Theatre Company, Ray of Light, Marin Theatre Company, Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre, Actor’s Theatre of Sonoma, Laguna Playhouse, Napa Repertory, Broadway by the Bay, Utah Musical Theatre and Performance Riverside. Multimedia work includes film, voice-over, print and commercials for companies like Polycom, Remedy, Yahoo, Nintendo, Progressive Auto Insurance, Coremark, Comcast. She is featured in the web series Lien on Me, and the rock documentary, Springsteen and I. She is also in the new short film, Generations, which is making the rounds on the festival circuit. Dyan is an adjunct professor of theatre arts at Solano Community College, San Jose State and Academy of Art, and Director of Education for 42nd St. Moon. michael scott wellsMichael Scott Wells is thrilled to be an Associate Artist for Lucky Penny’s 2017-2018 season! Born in Southern California and raised in the Bay Area, Michael has been a part of the theater community for the past 14 years as an actor, fight choreographer, casting associate and musician. He has appeared on the Lucky Penny stage in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Man #1), Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (The Duke), Clue: The Musical (Mr. Green) as well as numerous cabarets shows including Fly Me To The Moon, for which he is the co-creator with better half and fellow Associate Artist Danielle DeBow. Outside of the Bay Area, he was fortunate enough to be a part of the 1st National Tour of Strega Nona The Musical! as Big Anthony and working as the Associate Technical Director. Michael is looking forward to contributing to Lucky Penny as much as he can this season and hopes to share in his love and passion for the arts with this community.
